After five highly successful major label studio albums over the last decade; the time is indeed right for a career retrospective for California’s Papa Roach. Papa Roach (seemingly) exploded onto the mainstream music scene in 2000; one dominated at the time by an infectious wave of nu-metal. Thanks to the anthemic, crunching and radio dominating single ‘Last Resort’, it’s parent album ‘Infest’ soared to reach international sales of over six million, including gold album status in Australia. They followed it up in 2002 with ‘Lovehatetragedy’, peaking at #2 on the Billboard chart. The album ‘Getting Away With Murder’ followed in 2004. This signaled a significant shift away from the fading fad on nu-metal into a straight edge hard rock sound, earning Platinum accreditation in the US. ‘The Paramour Sessions’ appeared in 2006 going gold in the US and ‘Metamorphosis’ followed in 2008. With an enviable sales history in Australia and a loyal fanbase developed over the last decade – this comprehensive collection is a sensational bookend to an accomplished career.
